Pure speed was at the center of last weekend’s action at the Virginia Horse Center. The Virginia Barrel Classic turned up the volume and rocked the Coliseum. The only lull in the action came during the regular drags of the footing, which was done every three horses. With $10,000 in added money up for grabs, good footing was a priority. Loud, upbeat music accompanied each run, adding to the excitement of the show. Here are some photos of runs made on Sunday afternoon.
