VIRGINIA HORSE CENTER
- There’s a wide variety of events at the horse center this weekend. Barrel racing will be at its center in the Coliseum for the Virginia Barrel Horse Classic on Thursday through Sunday. The show includes a $10,000 slot class in which only 25 slots will be sold. The other classes also include added money purses.
- Dressage with a View will also be at the center on Saturday. Divisions are up through Second Level and Western Dressage classes are also offered. Gabby Hooten will judge.
- For open show competitors, the horse center will host the Hear the Beat Horse Show on Sunday. The show will be held in Wiley and Northern arenas. The show includes Hunter, Western, Pleasure and Game classes and is sanctioned by the Blue Ridge Horse Force.
CLINICS/DEMONSTRATIONS
- A saddle demonstration and talk by Tad Coffin of Tad Coffin Performance Saddles will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday at Memory Hill Stables in Waynesboro, Va. The demonstration is open to the public and free. RSVP at 540-383-6424

- The Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue will host its Open House Yard & Tack Sale on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1725 Edwardsville Rd, Hardy, Virginia.
