Horses and riders from across the region gathered at Green Hill Park Equestrian Center on Sept. 27 for the Southwest Virginia Dressage Association’s fall dressage show.
Compared with the bustle of a typical open horse show, the afternoon had a noticeably quieter feel. Riders had plenty of room to warm up, and the wide fields surrounding the rings offered space to step away with a horse for a few quiet moments before a ride. The weather cooperated, too, with a cool breeze taking the edge off a warm, sunny fall afternoon.
